Christmas bonus calculator in Guatemala
This calculator allows you to estimate the Christmas bonus in Guatemala using the ordinary monthly salary and the days worked within the Christmas bonus period.
You should not enter the entire employment history. To calculate the Christmas bonus, only the days worked within the bonus period, which normally runs from December 1st to November 30th of the following year, must be used.
What data is needed?
The simplest way to calculate the Christmas bonus is to use the days worked within the corresponding period. If the person worked the entire period, the tool automatically uses 365 days. If they worked only a part of it, the exact or approximate days worked within that period must be entered.
Full period
If the person worked from December 1 to November 30, select “Yes”. The calculator will use 365 days.
Part-time
If the person started after or finished before, select “No” and enter the days worked within the period.
Formula used
Ordinary monthly salary divided by 365, multiplied by the days worked.
What does this tool calculate?
The tool estimates the year-end bonus you may be entitled to based on your regular monthly salary and the number of days worked during the year-end bonus period.
Full period
If the employee worked the entire period, the calculation is based on 365 days, and the gross year-end bonus is approximately equal to one regular monthly salary.
Part-time
If the worker worked only a part, the calculation uses the manually entered days.
Settings
Allows you to subtract already made payments, advances, or documented discounts to show the estimated remaining balance.
Do you want to review the case in more detail?
The calculation may vary based on actual salary, partial payments, employment documents, internal agreements, deductions, and specific conditions of the employment relationship.

- Reporting period: The usual Christmas bonus period runs from December 1 to November 30 of the following year.
- Base salary: the tool uses the ordinary monthly salary entered by the user, excluding the incentive bonus if so selected.
This tool offers a general estimate and does not replace a legal review. It does not determine on its own whether a discount or adjustment is legally appropriate. For cases involving variable salary, commissions, partial payments, special contracts, or labor disputes, it is advisable to review the documents before making a decision.
